SEO budget calculator

Four questions and you'll see an example monthly budget and how it splits across a quarter — how many specialist hours and how many links it really buys. It's a guide, not a quote: real budgets are always discussed and customised.

How much does SEO cost? This SEO budget calculator gives a realistic answer in about a minute. Pick your business type, reach, site size and competition, and it estimates an example monthly budget — then splits it across a quarter into senior specialist hours and Digital PR / links, with the Polish rate advantage built in.

How this is calculated: senior specialist rate $30–60/h (a fraction of the $100–200/h+ you'd pay in the UK, Western Europe or the US), quality links at $150–300 each. The figure is your total budget (specialist + Digital PR / link-building); content and development aren't included — you're assumed to have those covered. The budget is monthly (one equal cost), but planning is quarterly: more specialist work early, more Digital PR / links later. All numbers are illustrative examples; $ and € are treated as equal here. For UK clients, budgets convert at roughly 0.8× in £.

SEO budget calculator — questions

  • As a monthly guide: from around $500–1,000 for small, local, low-competition work up to $3,500–6,000+ for competitive or multi-market programmes. The calculator maps your inputs to a sensible starting tier; above $6,000/month it's a custom scope.

  • It scores four inputs — business type, reach, site size and competition — maps them to a sensible starting tier, then shows an example quarterly split of specialist hours and links. It's an estimate to frame the conversation, not a binding quote.

  • It's a realistic starting point, not a quote. Real budgets depend on the specifics of your site and goals — that's what a free 20-minute consultation is for.

  • The total monthly budget: my specialist work plus the Digital PR / link-building spend. Content writing and development aren't included — you're assumed to have those, and if not we arrange them separately.

  • A senior Polish specialist is $30–60/h versus $100–200/h+ in the UK, Western Europe or the US — so the same budget buys two to four times more senior hours, with no agency margin on top.
