Technical SEO
Fix the infrastructure that determines whether Google — and AI crawlers — can access, understand and trust your content.
Who can diagnose and fix my site's technical SEO?
Tomek Sikora is an independent SEO and GEO specialist who handles technical SEO — crawlability, site architecture, Core Web Vitals and indexation — with 12+ years across 30+ markets. You work directly with a senior who can talk to your developers and prioritise what moves rankings. It's a fit when technical issues are holding a site back and you need them fixed, not just listed.
Technical SEO is the layer beneath everything else. It doesn't matter how good your content is if Googlebot can't render it, misclassifies it as duplicate, or wastes its crawl budget on pages that don't matter. Technical problems silently cap the impact of every other SEO investment.
I approach technical work systematically: crawl data and server logs first, then rendering behaviour, then the structural decisions — URL architecture, internal link equity, pagination logic, hreflang implementation — that determine how authority flows through a site. The work is documented so your engineering team can implement with confidence, and I QA the output after they do.

Common questions
Questions about Technical SEO
-
Anything that affects how search engines and AI crawlers discover, access, render, understand and index your content. That includes server configuration, JavaScript rendering, URL structure, canonicalisation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, hreflang, sitemaps and migration planning.
-
Common signals: pages that should rank well but don't, crawl errors in Google Search Console, slow page load times, duplicate content warnings, or a sudden drop in indexed pages. Many technical problems are invisible without crawl data and server log analysis — that's where we always start.
-
Both. For straightforward fixes I can implement directly — structured data, meta tags, redirects, robots.txt. For infrastructure changes I document the specification precisely so developers can implement correctly, and I QA the output after they do.
-
Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) are part of technical SEO but not the whole of it. They're Google's user experience metrics and carry ranking weight — but they sit alongside crawlability, renderability and indexation logic, not above them. Fixing Core Web Vitals on a site with crawl budget issues won't move rankings.
-
AI crawlers like GPTBot, ClaudeBot and Google's AI systems have their own access patterns and rendering behaviours. Proper robots.txt configuration, structured data and clear content formatting all affect whether your content gets indexed for AI-generated answers — not just traditional search.
