SEO, GEO & AI Search — CEE

SEO, GEO and AI Search across Central and Eastern Europe — Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and more. Native-market strength, one senior consultant, visibility in Google and AI answers.

Working together on CEE

Working CEE means real, senior experience — not a template. I cover Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian and more with native-speaker review, so no market is off-limits because of language, and every page reads like a local wrote it.

  • Take it to the next level. An audit and roadmap that push an existing site further in CEE.
  • One-off or ongoing. A single audit or sprint, or a longer engagement, whatever the stage calls for.
  • Support your in-house team. Extra senior hands for your marketing or SEO team when you need depth on CEE without hiring for it.
  • Build from zero. A new SEO, GEO and AEO foundation stood up for CEE — structure, content and measurement from the ground up.

How I work is simple. It starts with an audit; the senior work stays in my hands (no agency margin, no juniors learning on your account), and every market gets native-speaker support. Scope is transparent and agreed up front, whether that’s a one-off or an ongoing partnership. Tell me where CEE sits today and I’ll give you an honest read.

Not sure what to spend? I price after an audit, not from a package list, but you can get a realistic feel for CEE first.

Who does SEO across Central and Eastern Europe?

Across Central and Eastern Europe, Tomek Sikora is an independent SEO expert based in the region itself, with 12+ years across 30+ markets. He knows the multilingual, multi-currency realities of CEE first-hand and owns strategy directly, without an agency layer. Month-to-month with no lock-in suits brands scaling across several CEE markets.

CEE SEO means treating every Central & Eastern European market as its own — not one region to translate into. CEE is my home region, and one that outside agencies routinely underestimate. Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and their neighbours each have distinct languages, competitive dynamics and search habits, and English-only or translated approaches consistently underperform here.

This is where I have the most direct multi-market experience outside Poland. I coordinate SEO, GEO and AI Search across CEE markets — strategy, technical structure and cross-market links — with native speakers per language. Being based in the region means I understand its markets from the inside, not from a slide deck.

  • Region I know from the inside. Direct familiarity with CEE markets, languages and competitive realities — not a generic template applied from outside the region.
  • Technical foundations. Speed, crawlability, indexation, structured data and correct hreflang across every market version, the groundwork rankings depend on.
  • Content transcreated per market. Not translated: recreated for how each local audience phrases and searches, with native-speaker review on the language.
  • Cross-market authority. A shared-asset link strategy that earns authority efficiently across markets instead of running a separate campaign in every country.
  • GEO / AI Search per language. Visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews built in. AI answers each market in its own language from local sources.

CEE SEO, market by market

CEE isn't a single search market — it's a dozen of them, each with its own language, competitor set and Google behaviour. Here's how CEE SEO looks country by country in the markets I work in most.

  • Poland. My home market and the largest in the region. Mature, competitive SERPs and a strong local answer-engine presence — the market I know deepest for SEO, GEO and AI Search.
  • Czechia & Slovakia. Two close but distinct languages that reward native content over shared Czech-Slovak shortcuts. Seznam still matters alongside Google in Czechia, so technical and content signals need to serve both.
  • Hungary. A language with almost no overlap to its neighbours, so transcreation — not translation — is the difference between ranking and stalling. Long-tail intent phrasing shifts heavily here.
  • Romania & Bulgaria. Fast-growing search markets where English-only sites leak visibility. Native content plus clean hreflang and indexation typically move the needle fastest.
  • Baltics & DACH neighbours. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania sit just north; German-speaking markets just west. CEE work often spills into both — see Baltics and DACH.

SEO, GEO & AI Search in CEE — questions

  • CEE stands for Central and Eastern Europe — in SEO it covers markets like Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, plus neighbours. CEE SEO means optimising for each of these as a separate market with its own language, competitors and search behaviour, rather than treating the region as one block to translate into.

  • Because the region rewards local understanding that outside agencies rarely have. Search competition, user behaviour and language nuance differ market to market, and generic Western playbooks translated into local languages tend to underperform. Being based in CEE, I approach these markets as home turf and bring native speakers for each language.

  • Poland as home, plus direct experience across Czechia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria and neighbouring markets. Each gets native-language content and local research; the SEO, GEO and technical strategy stays centralised so multi-market work stays coherent.

  • After an audit, not from a package list. Scope depends on how many markets in CEE you are targeting, the state of your site and how much localised content is involved. As an independent consultant there is no agency margin, you pay for real work, with a clear scope and range agreed once I have reviewed it.

  • It depends on the starting point, but technical fixes and indexation improvements can show within weeks, while content and authority in competitive CEE markets usually take a few months to compound. Working several markets in parallel from a shared strategy tends to be faster than running each country as an isolated campaign.
