What Is Screaming Frog? SEO Crawler for Site Audits

Screaming Frog (SEO Spider) is a desktop crawler that scans a website like a search engine would, surfacing technical SEO issues — broken links, redirects, titles, metadata, structured data and more.

Screaming Frog is the workhorse of technical audits. Point it at a domain and it crawls every URL, collecting the data you need to find broken links, redirect chains, duplicate titles, missing metadata, thin pages, orphaned URLs and schema issues. For larger sites it connects to GSC and Analytics to enrich the crawl with real performance data.

It does not tell you what to prioritise — that is the auditor's judgment — but it gathers the evidence faster and more completely than any manual check. It is a core part of how I run a technical SEO audit.
